Characters
So…. here’s a little blurb about all my different characters that make up my presence in the WoW environment. Just as a side note, all of my characters reside on European realms.
Avonar
Avonar is my main character and the one that this blog is mostly written about.
Before you ask - yes, Av is a male night elf. My original main was Roslyn, the little dwarf hunter that you’ll see a bit further down the page. I got so tired of how short she was (as am I, in real life) and had been curious as to healers after running the Deadmines for the first time at about level 30. I chose the biggest alliance character I could find - a male night elf. Av was supposed to be an alt, but that’s ancient history. The fact that he’s obviously a guy causes no end of confusion when people meet me for the first time on Vent, as my voice is undeniably female.
Before any trouble starts: it’s either Av or Avonar. Avo rhymes with a word that means anti-social in Dutch, which put me off it. He is not the Avon lady. So it’s Av (which, come on, it’s shorter and easier to yell in a fight on Vent) or Avonar.
One of Av’s signatures is the fact that he pretty much always has his yeti around. The yeti has been his constant companion ever since Winterspring.

Roslyn
Roslyn was my first WoW character and has existed on Eonar for nearly as long as the realm has been around.
Roslyn’s faithful companion is Hoodwinked - I created her at about the same time the movie by the same name came out and thought it was a hilarious name.
Roslyn is a case of pretty much everything that I could do wrong, I did. She meleed everything, with occasional help from Hoodwinked until about lvl 35 when one of the guild hunters realized what I was doing and gave me some tips. Now she shoots things from a distance, a spectacular improvement on DPS. The gear was completely messed up, the spec was … well, creative - and I thought the traps were too complicated so never bothered. Just about the only good choice that I made was choosing a wolf as a pet, though I didn’t know it at the time.
It stuns me just how easy hunters are. I can go months without touching her, then be right into nuking mobs within a few minutes. I need to just get the time to sit down and level her so I can have a wonderful grinding character.
Eyre
Eyre was started just after BC came out as an experiment in playing with warriors. While I love playing a warrior, I don’t get anywhere near as much time with her as I’d like. She’s leveling with a mortal strike build which can also be used for tanking the low level instances.
I just love the fact that she’s blue plus has hooves and a tail. :)
Others
I have a bunch of low level alts running around that it just doesn’t seem the effort to note here. I’ve promised myself that I’ll stop deleting them when I get bored with them, as those first ten levels do actually take time.
