Insights into the RP world
As I’d mentioned a few days ago, Anna’s interview on the Twisted Nether blogcast really made me more curious about roleplaying.Ever since I heard that interview - and got lucky enough to meet her in the Blog Azeroth chatroom - I’ve been following her blog. I love the little bits of written roleplay that she does. While she was avoiding Edouard’s wrath, she got someone else to guest post on her blog.
Anna got Tarquin to write a guest post for her, which he entitled Forsooth! and in which he talks about … well:
So regular readers of this blog have heard a great deal by now about the concept behind TRI – an endgame raiding haven for roleplayers, frequently operating in character and encouraging RP chatter during downtime (or hell, during pulls since we’re mostly just mashing one button.) You might justifiably wonder, how the hell does that work? With the amount of administration and action required to keep up a good pace through 25-man content, it can certainly be challenging, but even a power-obsessed, micro-managing raid leader of uncertain stability and infrequent sobriety can manage to incorporate his raid time into his character’s roleplay and vice versa.
To that end, a few tips, tricks, and little-known facts related to the synergy of RP and content, and how you can make them meet halfway!
Besides the fact that there are a bunch of really good tips (roleplaying during raids, dealing with a boss that respawns every few days, etc), it’s a well written article that I immensely enjoyed reading.
Now why in the world don’t I live in an American timezone and get to play on Feathermoon? This sounds like a lot of fun!
